Tenicity Program updates on exciting developments

Dear All,

Hope September is going well for you. To parents, I hope the school year and fall activities are going well for your children.

In our fall programs, we have weekday group lessons and weekend programs ongoing. It’s great to see children enjoying and developing in the game! Below are a few updates on exciting developments in our program.

Program curriculum evolving with positive youth development via sports
We are continuously evolving our coaching methods and curriculum. I’m excited with our efforts to implement positive youth development principles. Our coaches shared about their learning and efforts in this video: Tenicity Coach Training Session – August 2023

Tenicity’s Program is creating a unique model for player development in the region
Our program’s structure with a head coach and a team of trained coaches working cohesively with a shared methodology and development path guiding each participant’s growth, is delivering experiences and outcomes that are differentiated from other programs with individuals teaching lessons. If learning, development, preparation for higher levels, and a process approach that guides a player systematically is what you are looking for, our programs are an excellent fit.

Developing the fundamentals prior to match play
My experiences of growing up in a tennis system where fundamentals training was the focus in the foundation years, has cemented my belief in the long-term benefits of such an approach over one that rushes for short-term results. You can hear my thoughts on the development process for match play readiness in this video: What does it take to be Match Play ready in tennis?

How much should a player train to reach a high level in the game?
You can hear my thoughts on factors such as duration and quality of training in this video: How much should a junior player train?

Centennial Schools gain a new tennis facility!
It’s great to see new tennis infrastructure at Centennial Schools supporting our programs and the growth in participation that we are achieving through our collaboration with the school! Check out the school’s new facility: New tennis courts at Centennial MS

Program players achieving new heights
In the ongoing girls school tennis season, several program players are achieving higher levels of performance. Our program player, Anna Runck is an example of a player who has developed to the top of her Varsity Team. You can read about Anna’s development in this article: Player Spotlight – Anna Runck. We wish the players the best for the remainder of the season and look forward to them joining our training programs this winter.
