Once you sign in, we store a cookie in your browser to remember you across page visits, so you don’t have to identify yourself at every page. If you activate the "remember me" option on sign in, you will be remembered until the cookie expires (several weeks later) or until you sign out. If you don’t activate "remember me" option, the cookie will be removed when you close your web browser.
Tenicity is built for privacy and we do not make money from ads. Neither do we serve ads to you on Tenicity or send your data to third parties for the purpose of targeting ads to you. Also, we don’t track you across the internet or change or disable the DNT setting in your browser.
The only interactions we do track and collect statistics on is your actions on our website (excluding our landing page) and with our web and mobile applications (once you have logged in at www.tenicity.com or from our iOS or Android mobile app). This data helps us to develop our products and services as per the interests and needs of our customers. It also helps us to improve the platform’s performance and to provide platform usage insights to the sport program’s we support.
During the platform sign-up process and your ongoing use of the platform, we may collect certain personal information from you. We use personal information to provide and improve the Platform and the Services, process transactions, and solicit your feedback. The personal information that we may collect is mentioned below.
Email: We ask for your email as part of the platform registration and account validation process. Your email is kept in our records to help us in providing you with platform support and training and to assist in making any changes to your account’s status.
Username: You will be given a username to access the platform. We keep your username in our records to help us in validating your account and to provide you with platform support and training. Your username helps us to identify your account when we are assisting in any account status changes. You can change your username from your "My Profile" section after you log in to the platform.
Names: You have the option to share your name on the platform. This information is not required by us. If you wish to remove your name, login from our website and remove your name from the "My Profile" section.
Profile Picture: You have the option to share your profile picture on the platform. This is not required by us. To remove your profile picture, login from our website and remove your profile picture from the "My Profile" section.
Training and Match Videos: Based on your platform Role’s permissions (set by the director or system admin of your Tenicity account), you may be able to share training and match videos with selected others in your account. To delete your videos, you can request your account’s director or system admin to do so.
All information collected pursuant to this section is collectively referred to as "Personal Information". We do not collect or access any Personal Information from you when you use the Services unless you provide us with the Personal Information voluntarily or authorize us to access it.
You may access and review, correct and/or update your Personal Information via the "My Profile" section after you have logged-in. Account admins can edit their credit or debit card information by logging-in and accessing their "Organization Settings" screen. For support with managing your personal information on our platform or to edit your billing information, please email us at email@example.com.
Account admins can deactivate their program’s Tenicity account from the "Account Settings" section or inform us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once an account is deactivated we will lock access to all its members, including administrators. We will send a permanent deletion notice to account admins that mentions how we will hold the account's data in our servers for 30 days to allow recovery or restoration of the account, upon request. After this period, all data will be deleted permanently. This includes:
Admins can request account reactivation within the 30 day window (since date of deactivation) by emailing us at email@example.com.
Individual registered members can deactivate their account via their "My Profile" page under "Personal Account" > click on "Delete My Account". You can also request your account admin to deactivate your account. Alternatively, you can send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with the deactivation request.
Once a registered member’s account is deactivated, we will delete all personal information except the member’s name (see Personal Information section above) associated with the member from our database and any 3rd party service providers’ platforms we use to offer our services. The member’s name and associated training and match records will be kept on the platform at the discretion of the account admins.
Please note, that as a registered member, you can delete the training and match information that you have created and shared on the platform at any time and prior to deactivating your account. For help with deleting your information, please email us at email@example.com.
If at any time, you would like for your personal information to be deleted from our database and/or transfered to you, please email us with the request at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will delete and/or transfer your personal information within 30 days of receiving your email.
We may collect additional information, which may include, but is not limited to (collectively, the "Other Information"):
We use the Other Information to provide and improve the Platform and the Services, solicit your feedback, administer our rewards, contests, and promotional programs, and inform you about our products and services and those of our partners. Additionally, we may share aggregated statistics on platform usage with account directors or system admins to help them improve their program’s use of our platform and gain more value from our services. The aggregated information is anonymous in nature and does not identify any individual person.
Tenicity does not share personal information of our registered members for any reason other than in helping us to deliver our platform and services to you. Additionally, Tenicity takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
If you do not wish for your personal information to be shared with any of our third-party service providers mentioned below, please discontinue or do not use our platform and send us an email at email@example.com to request your account to be deactivated.
All our servers are located in the USA and managed through Heroku. We do not share any detail related to organizations or members.
We use Wistia as a provider for video technology. We do not collect any information or metadata about videos.
All files uploaded to Tenicity are stored and managed by Filestack. We do not collect any information about such files.
We only store an ID that Firebase uses to identify a user’s device, and it allows us to send messages to this ID. We do not have access to nor control over Firebase’s database. You can disable push notifications for Tenicity’s app and your device will be deleted from the service. Your device is also automatically deleted when you sign out of the app.
We use Sqreen to monitor site usage and possible fraudulent actions such as SQL injection or attempts to break into someone's account by multiple attempts. Data on Sqreen may include your IP and Tenicity username (if you are a user).
We use Stripe to manage and process platform subscriptions and our service payments.
We track user activity in Tenicity in order to learn what features are being used and how. All data is anonymous and cannot be related to individual users.
We use Tennis ComStat to provide tennis match analytics services.
Tenicity discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Tenicity’s behalf or to provide services available at Tenicity’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Tenicity’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Tenicity will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Tenicity discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Tenicity believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Tenicity, third-parties or the public at large.
Also, we may share the Information as described below.
Children can become Registered members (typically players) of our Platform. Tenicity requires the Program to provide consent forms to the parents or guardians of all children under the age of thirteen (13) years old for non-EU citizens or sixteen (16) years old for EU citizens. The Program is required to collect the completed consent forms and send them to us prior to making the child a Registered Player of the Platform or collecting any information about the child. If you have not received this consent form or if you have any questions regarding our COPPA and GDPR compliance procedures, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Platform is intended to comply with COPPA and we encourage you to visit http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/tech/tec08.shtm for more information about COPPA and children’s privacy. For EU citizens, the Platform is also intended to comply with GDPR and we encourage you to visit https://www.eugdpr.org for more information about GDPR and children’s privacy.
We have made efforts to design the Platform to be what we think is child appropriate. However, no system can be error free and we encourage you to supervise your child’s use of the Platform and teach them about protecting themselves and their Personal Information online.
In the event that we become aware that we have collected COPPA-restricted personal information from any child other than as permitted under that law, we will dispose of that information, or otherwise treat it, in accordance with COPPA law and other applicable laws and regulations. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child under the age of thirteen has provided us with personal information (as defined by COPPA) without COPPA-required consent, please contact us at email@example.com
We use Mailchimp’s services to send out our Newsletter and any direct marketing communication on existing and new product features, updates with our company’s progress, or to solicit your feedback. This communication is only sent to those individuals, including registered Tenicity members who have subscribed to our lists by filling out the service’s Sign-up forms. Mailchimp’s forms follow industry best practices on gaining subscribers with affirmative consent.
You can unsubscribe from this communication and request that your personal information no longer be used for direct marketing from us by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email page.
We make efforts to minimize the personal information we receive to only that information which is essential for us to provide you with our platform for the benefit of your game development. Therefore, we do not store any sensitive personal data. We also use one-way encryption for passwords, which minimizes the risk of your password being used by a third party trying to enter your account.
We take commercially reasonable steps to protect the information we collect from you from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. In particular, e-mail sent to or from the Platform may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail.
Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents who have an established business relationship with Tenicity may choose to opt out of our sharing your Personal Information with third-parties for direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and (1) you wish to opt out; or (2) you wish to request certain information regarding our disclosure of your Personal Information to third-parties for the direct marketing purposes, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is important to note that the Platform and its servers are operated in the United States and as a result, all data shared in an account is stored in servers based in the USA. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any Personal Information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. If you do not wish for your personal information to be transferred to the United States, please deactivate your account from your "My Profile" section (please see the paragraph above on Access, Modification, and Deletion of Your Personal Information).
